Auditionees will be asked to vocalize and sing the first verse of The Star Spangled Banner. Previous choral singing experience is desirable, but not required. No appointment is necessary but auditionees should arrive at 6 p.m. for a general information session. Private individual auditions will immediately follow.
This fall, the ensemble will perform Mahler’s epic Symphony No. 2 (“Resurrection”) with Maestro Timothy Muffitt and the Lansing Symphony Orchestra on Nov. 2 and Poulenc’s festive Gloria along with selections from Handel’s beloved Messiah with Professor Jonathan Reed and the MSU Symphony Orchestra. The spring semester will celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth with a performance of his Mass in C with Professor David Rayl and the MSU Symphony Orchestra.
